Vista Tala: Home Away from Home
We just recently went to Vista Tala in Bataan. Another place we found perfect to de-stress and unwind from the busy life we all have at work.
With just 3 1/2 to 4 hrs away from Manila, Vista Tala is situated almost at the top of the mountain that's why you expect a really cold weather and a very poor if not no signal at all - perfect if you want to get away and relax for a period of time.
We went there on weekday so there's actually not much people except for those that are there on a day tour. We were a bit late from their usual check-in of 2pm. Good thing they are not that strict in terms of check-in period. Since we arrived late, we decided to rest for a while and do some picture taking since its nearly sunset and the weather is getting a lot colder we opt to swim in the morning instead.

Look at the view <3
You'll be provided with Wi-Fi Passwords but this only works when you are in the swimming pool area and not when you are inside the room. Everywhere else has no signal.
We ordered food at theVista Tala Cafe for dinner. This place is open from 7AM-10PM daily.
Here's what we got:
Seafood Rice
Gambas
Buffalo Wings
+ Chocolate Ice Cream
The total bill of our food was a little more than P800.00, you don't have to pay it right away as they will just charge it to your room and you may pay upon check-out.
From this, I understood why its strictly prohibited to bring your own food, its because there are really few who goes to this place since its just starting to be popular, at least on weekdays and they really would want to make market their own restaurant. We saw at the guard house the corkage fee is P1,000.00
This place is really nice, but since its too cold, we don't bother to eat our dinner here, we just decided to do that in the morning when the the weather is a bit hot. haha
We woke up early to have our breakfast the moment the restaurant opened at 7AM before dipping in the pool.
The breakfast choices include, longsilog, tocilog, hotsilog and bangsilog.
Afterwards we just changed into our swimwears and started enjoying the place.
Everything in this place is so beautiful. God you're amazing!
Over-all this is a place which would really make me want to come back because of the view, the customer service, how serene the place is, and the experience. Lucky us that we were able to go there at the time it was not crowded yet.
For an overnight stay, here are the rates:
Nipa Hut (good for 2 persons) P3,900
Row Houses (good for 4 persons) P7,500
Standard Villa (good for 4 persons) P9,900
Villa with Jacuzzi (good for 4 persons) P12,300
Barkada Room (good for up to 24 persons) P27,500
Tips:
- It's best to come here on Weekdays as you can have this place all by yourself.
- Like what I have been consistently saying in this post, there is not much signal in the place, so its better to warn everyone either your family or your workmates to let them know about it ahead of time to keep you from any trouble.
- If you cannot afford to do an overnight stay, you can do day tour with a much cheaper rate of P600.00/head
- Rates are consistently getting higher and higher so its best to contact them. They are very responsive on Facebook.
How to get there:
1. Ride a bus going to Balanga Bataan via Genesis or Bataan Transit. Tell the driver to drop you off at Orani Bataan, and you're going to Vista Tala. Fare estimate is P170.00/head
2. From Orani Highway, you will see a signage already of Vista Tala, ride a tricycle going to the place. It will take you almost 30mins to get there (Fare: P150.00/tricycle)
P.S. the tricycle fare is already worth it knowing how long the travel time is.
Alternative:
1. Just like us, when we arrived at Genesis terminal in Pasay, there is no available bus bound to Bataan, we were advised by everyone there to ride a bus going to Olongapo. The driver advised that we get down at Layac, Bataan. (thank God we have internet connection so we have our GPS and maps with us to help) (Estimated travel time: 3 1/2 hours)
2. From Layac, you may ride a mini bus, or a bus, bound to Balanga, and you may do the last step as mentioned above. :)
