Late Summer Beachin' at Casa Angelina, Zambales

Image
Can no longer remember when was the last time I updated my blog. I've been so busy that I forgot to put up some stories here. Anyways, just a few months ago, we learned about this so called Casa Angelina, from the town of Cabanagan, Zambales. I know it may not sound as familiar as San Felipe, San Narciso, or San Antonio, but this place is also perfect if you are after peaceful vacation away from the city life. Casa Angelina is owned by the husband and wife tandem of Roy and Joanne. They personally assist the requests of the guests. It only has 4 rooms, 2 are garden view, and the other two for the ocean view. According to Roy, they prefer to keep it that way so the guests can feel the exclusivity of the place. Each room can accommodate up to 7-8 guests comfortably.  (garden view rooms) (This is the first bed you will see when you open the room. They have an additional double deck and bunker bed. Too bad I forgot to take pictures of them.) Their comfort...

Antipolo's Best Kept Luljetta's Hanging Gardens Spa

Image
Its been more than a year since I last updated my blog. A lot has happened by then. I focused more on my work, my boyfriend had worked overseas and a lot more. So when he came back, okay we're now back to our usual dates and mini adventures. :) Prior to him coming back, I was already looking for places that we can go. One recommendation I got was this place in Antipolo called Luljetta's Hanging Garden. Right after my boyfriend got enough rest and catching up with his family and friends, I booked a reservation right away.  We thought its a bit far knowing its Antipolo, and we're coming from Cavite. However, we got there faster than we thought we would. The place is already a bit famous in the area so no need to worry that they may take you somewhere else. We already paid the package that we got before going there. We were informed that there's really a lot of people who goes there on weekends so we might come there and get nothing out of it if we do walk-in. W...

New Cafe Discovery: Pret A' Manger Cafe in U.N.

Image
We were around U.N. area yesterday for some errands. We were looking for a different cafe. It says on Google Map that it is just around the area, when we felt like we can't find it, we saw this cafe. We just passed by it on the plan of looking for the other cafe. But when we saw this, we told ourselves why not give it a try. From the door itself, since its glass, you can already see the price of the food and drinks. We noticed that it is affordable enough so we gave it a try. There were two group of people dining in so we did not hesitate, at least we won't experience the "all eyes on us" kind of dining. I just love the red couches that they have for the guests. It gives you the feeling that you are really home. Plus, as you can see on the picture, it still has second floor, which gives you also the chance to see and enjoy watching everyone that comes and go downstairs while enjoying your favorite coffee. This is what we ordered. White mocha frappu...

Tarapumwesto: Who says Kawali can't be your Plate for Eating?

Image
There's this small place in Noveleta, Cavite that is starting to get famous these days, the Tarapumwesto. We arrived there a little earlier so the line is still shorter. They only have few tables inside so bleachers were provided outside for the people who will dine in. We waited for almost 10mins, then we were assigned to our seat. Beforehand, they already asked for our orders, so when we sat down, we just waited for our orders. Their menu is normal, tapsilog, chiksilog, liemsilog, kawalisilog, etc. But the experience is what makes it different. Tahdah!! kawali is going to be your plate. Your drinks are also put in a mason jar, just the way it was adored by many nowadays. We also got extra rice because the boyfriend insisted, I was surprised to see that their extra rice, was also placed in a mini kaldero. Its like it is custom made for extra rice like this. The owners and servers were also very accommodating and friendly enough to assist us with all our request...
