Summer in Aquaria Beach Resort Batangas

Image
There is this not-so-new beach resort in Playa, Calatagan, Batangas named Aquaria Beach Resort. It is a 3-hour drive from Cavite.  It is a beautiful place perfect for a summer getaway. If you feel like swimming in the beach or by the pool, you may do so as they have both. This is what you'll see when you arrived in the place, This is the beach place. It is not too far away from the pool so you don't have to worry if you need to transfer from one place to another for the sake of the children that you brought with you who wants to swim in the pool instead. Just be careful because we saw two jellyfish in there, good thing we were not stung. Their pool. This is I think one of the highlight of the place. They have slides too for those who wanted to have some fun. The water is really made to look blue so its really picture perfect. You don't have to worry too because they have many shower rooms for those who are already finished dipping i...

New Food Park Alert: Buendia Food by the Court

Image
For Valentine's day this year, since its a weekday and there's work, plus we have errands to do in Cash 'n Carry, we decided to eat somewhere near there. Then my boyfriend mentioned to me about this new food park in town called Buendia Food by the Court, I did not think twice and said yes. The foodpark opens at 4pm, we just stayed at Jollibee right in front of the Food Park while waiting for the doors to be open. We went there exactly at 4pm and there's a lot of people already. We originally wanted to sit upstairs but all the tables are occuppied so we have no choice. By the time, the food park was just introduced to the public like a few weeks ago, and it surprised us that there's a lot of people who knows about it already, maybe because it's also Valentine's day. We bought food at Burger Meets Wings  or BMW for short. I think most of them are still not used to getting orders from a lot of people. There's a lot of circumstances...

Revolution of Pinoy Food at KKK

Image
There is this Filipino food place that we tried, which I do love the concept that they use, that is, food as the symbol of Pinoy Revolution. This is called the KKK restaurant. The names of their food are all in tagalog, which you may find cute and rich in culture. While you are waiting for your food, you were served with  chicharon  matched with their delicious  sukang paombong. The waiters and waitresses are wearing Filipiniana costumes so it really gives you the vibe of being a Filipino during the revolution way back then. The categories of their food too was also very witty like unang sigaw (starters), piggy-tarian (pork dishes), maki baka, (beef specialties), Mga titltian (relishes), sabaw (soup), Sa pula, sa puti (chicken specialties), ga yamang dagat at ilog (seafood) and more. Here are the food that we ordered. the kare-kare categoirized in Maki Baka (the bagoong was also good) baked tahong the fish is actually hito, I just forgott...

Antipolo's Best Kept Luljetta's Hanging Gardens Spa

Image
Its been more than a year since I last updated my blog. A lot has happened by then. I focused more on my work, my boyfriend had worked overseas and a lot more. So when he came back, okay we're now back to our usual dates and mini adventures. :) Prior to him coming back, I was already looking for places that we can go. One recommendation I got was this place in Antipolo called Luljetta's Hanging Garden. Right after my boyfriend got enough rest and catching up with his family and friends, I booked a reservation right away.  We thought its a bit far knowing its Antipolo, and we're coming from Cavite. However, we got there faster than we thought we would. The place is already a bit famous in the area so no need to worry that they may take you somewhere else. We already paid the package that we got before going there. We were informed that there's really a lot of people who goes there on weekends so we might come there and get nothing out of it if we do walk-in. W...

A Visit at Dreamland Arts and Cafe

Image
We were looking for something worth going to Tagaytay when my boyfriend first came back here in the Philippines. Since Tagaytay is just one bus away from where we live, we decided to go to this new place that is just starting to get famous, the Dreamland Arts and Cafe. Th place is just walking distance from Tagaytay Rotonda. Dreamland is also just a stone throw away from the new McDonalds in Tagaytay. (You'll see their signage on the right side of the road if you're coming from Rotonda) If not for this, we wouldn't know that we are already there.  Dreamland Arts and Cafe is just a small and dainty looking cafe.  (Dreamcatchers everywhere) They have this place allocated for photo ops, I'm not sure though if you are allowed to dine here.  You'll also see their menu right outside the cafe. (i think they have already updated this one) We decided to dine outside as it is a bit hot inside, I think the place merely rely on the cool ...

New Coffee Shop Alert: Cafe Antix

Image
There's this coffee shop located along P. Burgos in Cavite City that is called Cafe Antix. Its just a medium sized coffee shop that gives you homey feels with the good ambiance of the place and the interior design of it. Most of those that are used as design pieces are antique, (that's why its called Antix a mix of antique). At first you would think that there menu is a bit pricey, but we too were surprised that they don't. In fact, most of their menu, the food, ranges from P100-350 and their drinks from P70-180 depending on your choice. Here's a peek of the look of the place: Their television is still functioning, believe it or not. In fact, it is still playing songs that lets you feel relaxed in your stay there. good choice of music too! The seats, mostly are native sofa. You don't have to worry with the electric fans that you see, they're just props, (but you can use them too). The place is air-conditioned. What we got were, Vanil...

Tagaytay's Very Own Memory Lane

Image
We just came from Lourdes Church, and we decided to go here and have our lunch since its near,  so we can also tick this off on our must-try list. Very famous as the restaurant of Jolina Magdangal's family, we decided to try this one out since we are just an hour and a half away from Tagaytay.   This place as I can say is really very homey, like what all the others are saying, a perfect type of restaurant if you are already in Tagaytay. No need for airconditoners, or electric fans (though they have one).  I read different reviews, and blogs before going here. Mostly all are negative that they do not like the service and the food. According to them, their waiting time usually takes an hour before their food arrives. So when me and the boyfriend went here, we did not expect that much already. When we arrived there, there were few customers, but one group is a bit big, so it looks like as if there are lots of people. With the perfect breeze in Tagaytay, this...
