Hotel Review: Crimson Hotel Alabang

Right just when we found out about the upcoming long weekend, I thought staycation would be nice. Just a few minutes walk from Festival Mall, and right across South Station, there you may find Crimson Hotel in Filinvest, Alabang. Upon research, I found out that it is a 5-star hotel according to hotel booking apps. That being said, I had my expectations higher than usual. I read other blogs and saw that they indeed had a great stay on the place so I wish ours will be the same.

When we entered the hotel, we were instructed that the lobby was located on the 8th floor of the building.

Chandeliers on the elevators, why not? :)

The moment we stepped out of the elevator we already felt the 5-star vibe it gives to their guests with how big the place is.

The lobby was really huge.

Check-in time was 3pm. We went there at 2:40pm and the lines are already very long. It is quite expected given that fact that it was Saturday, and long weekend as well. We patiently fell in line and after 50 mins we were finally able to check-in. Upon observation, 3 out of 4 lines in the reception area moving slower.A lot of people behind me are already complaining about it. Only one lane moves faster than the others. I just wish that is not the case. They should have already gotten use to it as that is not the first long weekend ever invented.

On the way to the room since it was already past 3pm, we were too excited to go to our room to take a bath and change clothes. Surprisingly, when we are already tapping the key card, it did not work. We tried several times but failed. Good thing there was a cleaner nearby so we asked for help. He just advised that we go downstairs at the concierge to ask for help, so we did. They happily assisted us and changed our key cards. Afterwards we tried again but still failed. To make the long story short, we got three key cards that won't work before finally getting the right one. Imagine the hassle that they gave us in going up and down from the lobby to our room. Good thing we're just two floors up.
We were able to enter the room at 4:45pm already.

Here's a preview of the Deluxe Room:

To be honest, the moment I saw the room, my disappointment from the scenario earlier quickly vanished. I love how the room looks like. Seems like it keeps on telling me that I'm there to rest and unwind from work.

The window if you opt to have natural light comes in lets you see this view of the city. It actually looks better at night.

I appreciate that they have a clothes iron and an iron board as based on my experience, not all hotels have this.

They also have this to welcome you if you're feeling a little hungry. But of course, since this is a hotel, expect them being overpriced.

I'm really very particular in terms of the bathroom. For me that is always one of the basis on how I judge my experience in hotels. And for this one, I absolutely love how clean and relaxing it looks like.

We decided to just take a look at the swimming pool area the next morning as we were really too tired and lazy to go out of our room.

When we went there, there are lots of people swimming and lounging at the poolside.

They also have a deck bar if you want to grab a few drinks during your stay.

The buffet breakfast is served from 6am-10am. The hotel has their own cafe called Cafe Eight where you can dine anytime of the day.

They have a variety of breakfast choices for you if you want to go on the traditional Filipino breakfast, American, Chinese, Japanese, etc.

Grabbed Coffee Crumble Ice Cream to eat while watching a movie before going to bed.

Good thing the check-out was a breeze. It took us another 30 mins, but its fine. Over-all, aside from the hassle during check-in, our stay has been nice. I still would choose to come back given if I have time.

Tips:
1.  If you need something, there is a nearby 711 convenient store downstairs wherein you can buy some food for cheaper price compared to the hotel.
2.  Bring additional P3,000 cash if you don't have a credit card as they require to pay that upon check-in for possible incident or damages on your room. You don't have to worry though as they will return it upon check-out as long as you keep the paper that they are going to give you as proof that you really paid for that amount.

How to get there:
1. Coming from North: From EDSA, you may ride a bus going to Alabang.if its Alabang Starmall, tell the driver to drop you off at South Station. If you already rode a bus going to Alabang South Station, you will get down at South Station already and just cross the street. You may ask the people there where is Entrata (where Crimson Hotel is located).
2. Coming from South, you may ride a jeepney going to Alabang from Baclaran or Pasay Rotonda. Then as mentioned above ask if the driver is passing through South Station.
