Late Summer Beachin' at Casa Angelina, Zambales

Can no longer remember when was the last time I updated my blog. I've been so busy that I forgot to put up some stories here. Anyways, just a few months ago, we learned about this so called Casa Angelina, from the town of Cabanagan, Zambales. I know it may not sound as familiar as San Felipe, San Narciso, or San Antonio, but this place is also perfect if you are after peaceful vacation away from the city life.

Casa Angelina is owned by the husband and wife tandem of Roy and Joanne. They personally assist the requests of the guests. It only has 4 rooms, 2 are garden view, and the other two for the ocean view. According to Roy, they prefer to keep it that way so the guests can feel the exclusivity of the place. Each room can accommodate up to 7-8 guests comfortably.

(This is the first bed you will see when you open the room. They have an additional double deck and bunker bed. Too bad I forgot to take pictures of them.)

Their comfort room is also very spacious.

As mentioned earlier, this is the example of how serene the place is. You almost have the entire place all to yourself. There are just few fishermen nearby but not too close enough so you still enjoy the privacy.

On our way there, we spoke to the conductor of the bus, according to him, Casa Angelina is already famous among them as a lot of passengers are already asking the directions on how to go there, even though the place has not yet been open in a year.
Contrary to what the others are saying, the beach is not so child-friendly. Advised by the conductor of the bus, aside from the big waves, which is normal for everyday according to Roy, the beach there is a bit deep even just a few steps from the shoreline.

Casa Angelina also accepts breakfast and dinner orders. You just have to inform them ahead of time.
We got there around 8pm already since we have work that day, we are already too tired so we were not able to take much photos.  We just went straight to dinner at Roy and Joanne's house which is just a few steps away from Casa Angelina.

This is what we got for dinner. Sinigang na Baboy, Rebusadong Hipon, and Leche Flan for dessert. All inclusive at P250/head
(Since we got there a bit late already plus the light rain shower, the Sinigang is perfect)

The next day, we decided to wake up early for photo ops, as well as enjoy the place before heading to Casa Santa Luzviminda for breakfast.

The menu for breakfast is provided at the basket of toiletries inside the room upon check-in, at the same time, its still best to ask them, as some maybe not available. Roy even personally went out and have a little chit chat with us while we're having breakfast

They are also not that strict in terms of bringing food. In fact they have a dirty kitchen located near the garden view rooms if you would want to cook for your own food.

Over-all our experience was nice, if you really want to go to a place that is a bit secluded to relax, this one is highly recommended.

Place: 5/5
Beach: 4/5
Food: 5/5
Travel time: 2/5 (we left Manila at 1pm, and got there at 8pm, felt like I already went to Ilocos)

How to get there:
Manila - Zambales
1. Ride a Victory Line bus bound to Iba, Zambales. Tell the Driver to drop you off at Anonang bus stop.
P.S. (If ever you're like us, according to the locals and the bus conductor, its best to drop off at Casabaan)
2. From Anonang or Casabaan, ride a tricycle to Casa Angelina.

Zambales - Manila
1. Ask for help from Roy and Joanne, or one of their people for help in getting a tricycle that will help you go out.
2. Ride a bus going to Manila, (though this will take you a much longer waiting time)
or ride a bus / van going to Olongapo. UV Express is faster as they have a shortcut route compared to the route of the bus. If you don't mind paying for convenience, UV Express is what we recommend, though the fare is a bit pricey.
3. From Olongapo, you may now ride any bus bound to Manila (Cubao, Pasay, etc.)

Rates:
Ocean View Rooms - Php 3,000/night
Garden View Rooms - Php 2,500/night
