A Visit at Dreamland Arts and Cafe

We were looking for something worth going to Tagaytay when my boyfriend first came back here in the Philippines. Since Tagaytay is just one bus away from where we live, we decided to go to this new place that is just starting to get famous, the Dreamland Arts and Cafe.

Th place is just walking distance from Tagaytay Rotonda. Dreamland is also just a stone throw away from the new McDonalds in Tagaytay.
(You'll see their signage on the right side of the road if you're coming from Rotonda)
If not for this, we wouldn't know that we are already there.

Dreamland Arts and Cafe is just a small and dainty looking cafe.

(Dreamcatchers everywhere)
They have this place allocated for photo ops, I'm not sure though if you are allowed to dine here.

You'll also see their menu right outside the cafe.

(i think they have already updated this one)

We decided to dine outside as it is a bit hot inside, I think the place merely rely on the cool breeze of Tagaytay though i'm not that sure if they have air conditioner as when we went there the door was kept open.

This is what we got, to be honest, nothing is so special on their menu, and it is also a bit overpriced.

It's also free to borrow Sungka, you just have to approach them so they can give it to you as in our case, they are keeping the shells with them. You may opt to use this one, but after eating when we roamed around the place, we found out that there is a built in Sungka board with chairs inside for those who wanted to play maybe while waiting to be seated. They also offer paper and coloring materials for those who would want to do some arts and doodles.
Aside from being a cafe, they also sell some trinkets like these below, and more.

This is the stairs on the way up. As much as we loved to, we really want to dine upstairs because the vibe is actually nice, you'll just be seated on the floor, and there are Christmas lights around, but unfortunately, the tables are all taken by different barkadas, which obviously would stay a little longer than usual so we just stayed outside.

Based on what I have read, this cafe does not have internet connection for guests as it aims for you to bond with whoever you are with in the place and enjoy instead of being too focused on your gadgets.

Tip: Go there on weekdays or if weekend, earlier than lunch or dinner time so you can get the seat that you wanted. :)

How to get there:
  1. If you're coming from Manila, you may ride a bus going to Tagaytay.
  2. Option A:  Tell the driver to drop you off at Olivarez Terminal.
  3. From the terminal, ride a jeepney going to People's Park, (P8.00/head fare) and tell the driver you are going to Dreamland.
  4. Option B: When riding the bus bound to Tagaytay, tell the driver to drop you off at Tagaytay Rotonda, and from there you may just walk your way going to the Cafe. It may take around 5-10mins. walk  (which is not really a problem with the cool breeze)
NOTE: Don't be deceived by tricycle drivers offering you a ride going to People's Park, it will just cost you a lot more than the P8.00/jeepney fare

Over-all rate for the experience:
Place: 4/5
Food: 2/5
Service: 4/5

You may visit them at:
Dreamland Arts and Cafe
Purok 157 Tagaytay- Calamba Road, Tagaytay City

Hope this helps!
xx
