Slidefest 2015: 1000 Feet of Happiness

There are a lot of events lately scheduled on May 16 and 17, 2015 like the Closeup Forever Summer, Music Evolution Manila, and the Color Manila Run. We chose to attend the Slidefest because its a first, and we're not guaranteed if it will be repeated again.

May 16 was the first day, and we tried it on May 17 because May 16's slots have easily been sold out.
Slidefest first took place in Subic, and as far as the comments that i've been reading is concerned, not everyone had that "1000ft of happiness". Like any other events, it has it own flaws. So with all those that i've been reading, i did not expect ours to be the best.

The venue where it happened is soooo hard to find especially for commuters, we walked a long way just to get there, but its understandable because the place they chose was mostly grassy around, not buildings wherein we could distract the people working or the passers by. It took us a long time to find it. We were scheduled to start at 10am, and we found the venue around 10:10 already.

The registration process was smooth, because it was already categorized according to surnames.
We only paid for the 2 hours unlimited slides, because 1 slide is too short to have fun and the unlimited slide is too much to be staying all day under the heat of the sun.
We were given wrist tags, according to our type of wave slides.

When we got inside, we immediately changed into the prescribed clothes. its just series of tents with tarpaulins as cover. You don't get the privacy because boys are passing by the girls dressing room, and same with the boys, girls are allowed to pass by. Soo good thing I already went there wearing the dri-fit shirt that I'm supposed to wear.

We went to the line afterwards we surrendered our things, we're glad to know that the were just right in time. It stated at 10:30am and not 10:00am. The line is just short so its an advantage to us.

with the floaters that you're supposed to ride on just to slide.

And that's us again with a lot of floaters you can choose from.

Happy sliders.  This slippers floater is so cute. (courtesy of Havaianas)

We were able to do 4 slides each. The other sliders who said that they only did it once was I don't know. The lines are orderly. The wave sliders are different from the VIP.

For me the foam slide is the best, though we were only able to do it once.

These big Oishi Crackers are soo cute that I wanna take home one.

Overall this was one good experience. The staff was accommodating enough. They have a lot of staff to assist you everytime you slide. The baggage area was also organized.

What I just don't like are:
1. They said that only dri-fit shirts are allowed, but not everyone wears dri-fit.
2. It is also in their rules that no mono sticks are allowed, but they're not so strict in implementing it and a lot still brought one while sliding.
3. There are no proper shower areas.

Over-all we had fun, even though we got a bit tan because of staying too much under the heat of the sun. The booths too were also nice, they have games for you to try just to pass time.
